About Catherine

It all started 11 years ago, which is really hard to believe.  I started a wedding invitation and consulting business in April, 1996, to provide brides with the personal attention they need while selecting their wedding invitations.  I offer individualized service, whether answering the bride’s etiquette question regarding her invitations, or providing complete wedding planning, coordinating and directing services.  I also pride myself with being flexible to accommodate  appointments to meet the needs of the busy bride and groom.

Just to tell you a little about myself… I love weddings!  Everything about them!  I am probably the only person in the industry who drives around listening to wedding music in the car!  I have extensive event planning experience, from my start in Columbia, South Carolina to Chicago, Illinois, to Charlotte.  I have extensive and varied experience in event planning in many of the large hotels in Chicago.  More recently, in Charlotte, in addition to having owned my own restaurant and catering business, I have planned events at several of the large entertainment venues.  Several years ago, I began producing bridal shows in addition to my wedding services that I provide.  To incorporate my bridal show business with my existing wedding consulting and invitation business, I changed my corporate name to Marry Me Productions, Inc. and my invitation and consulting business to Marry Me by Catherine Bell.  Although I have discontinued the production of the shows due to my family obligations, the name Marry Me Productions will continue to assist Charlotte area brides for a long time!!

After 11 years, my business is still going strong.  I have a 7 1/2 year old daughter, Allison and a 2 year old daughter Reagan, who along with my husband, Brian, are the loves of my life!!   Not only do I look forward to planning Allison and Reagan's wedding several years from now, but yours as well!
